As a sommelier, I love discovering wines that speak of place and tradition, and this Vermentino from Trentham Estate does just that.
Vermentino hails from Sardinia, and Trentham has beautifully captured its spirit here. The grapes are picked early to lock in freshness, resulting in a bright, lively white that’s perfect for warm afternoons and relaxed gatherings.
Personally, I love serving this wine as an apéritif or alongside some fresh prawns — the saltiness in both makes for a perfect match.
Trentham Estate, nestled on the banks of the Murray River, continues to impress with their passion and precision. This Vermentino is a testament to their craft — approachable, elegant, and full of character. Albariño!
